New Sand Volleyball Court
The new court in Solvang Parks and Recreation will be a great idea, and building a new sand volleyball court with a set of three courts nearing completion in Sunny Fields Park on Alamo Pintado Road is very helpful not just with the players but also to the people. In fact, they start moving right all along and it took a lot of digging to remove the turf but so far so good the area is well-done.
New court in Solvang will be a suitable addition to every one of Simon Rogers and with the associate Phil Dalhausser who won at the 2018 Olympic games a silver honor in beach volleyball.
Solvang Parks and Recreation Department hopes to spike beach volleyball lovers’ craving for the sport with a set of three courts nearing completion in Sunny Fields Park.
“The work is moving right along and we expect them to be ready to go by the end of January – weather permitting,” said Fred Lageman, director of parks and recreation for the city.
It took a lot of digging to remove the turf and make way for the three courts located adjacent to Alamo Pintado Road at the opposite end of the park from the fairy-tale children’s play area and the spherical-style backstop at the baseball field.
